Occupational Health – Fit For Work

fit-for-work-300-roundedA vigorous 5 mile walk will do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy adult than all the medicine and psychology in the world” - (Paul Dudley White).

Stress cost the UK economy over £530m in the last year with 530,000 employees seeking advice on stress. Therefore, it’s important to look after our employees wellbeing not only when they are well but also when they are feeling the day to day stresses.

Typically managed through occupational health- enabling employees return to work and feel supported is a well documented and researched challenge.

At Walking Coach we take a different approach- our aim “Sustainable Wellbeing” attained through our Walking Coach program. Whether an employee is already away from work or just starting to feel stressed the program can be an effective intervention.

Walking coach brings together in a structured way the benefits of coaching and walking in the outdoors.

We are confident that you will not only see results from one on one coaching, but also your employees will also feel mentally and physically  well.  Our program follows a structured approach typically lasting six sessions, but this can vary depending on the clients and the areas of focus for their coaching.

Once the six sessions are complete we recommend that you establish a regular maintenance program to underpin progress and provide ongoing support – quarterly is usually sufficient.

At the end of the program we aim to equip our client with the tools and techniques to “self coach” at a level that means that you/they can tackle day to day challenges whether at work or home.
