“Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow; Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead; Walk beside me, and just be my friend.” - Albert Camus (1913-1960, French Existential Writer)
This program been designed to combine walking and coaching for individuals . It is aimed at those that have a specific coaching requirement and enjoy the benefits of the outdoors.
Our coaching context includes setting personal goals and achieving clarity of direction, improving confidence maybe after a life event (being made redundant ,or career change) managing significant change or challenge or simply giving you the space to think!
Our role as coach is to motivate, challenge and inspire you to achieve long term sustainable results.
We typically work over 6 sessions at a cost of £100 per hour. Sessions last between one and a half and two hours. We will leave you with the tools and techniques to self coach once your initial coaching objectives have been met.
(all our coaches are accredited and are CRB checked)
In addition
- Walking puts physical and mental distance between you and the stress-causing environment.
- Walking gives you time away from the stressors to clear your head.
- Many people carry stress by tensing their muscles. By walking you unknot those muscles and put them to work.
- When stressed we tend to only see what’s in front of our nose. Our breadth of vision narrows as we focus only on the issues causing the stress. When walking we encourage you to look up and out!
- Wear off stress-eating related calories. Become physically fitter
- Lower your blood pressure and your heart health risk which can be increased by stress.
