Based near Saffron Walden in Essex, England and a Scot by birth, I am the lucky owner of Walking Coach, as well as an experienced marketer and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). I also operate in the Cambridge area as a Walking Coach.

Before discovering the world of coaching, I enjoyed a 20 year international marketing career, allowing me to live, work and travel all over the world. Since 2001, I have operated independently and in partnership with other consultancies, helping clients within the UK, Europe and USA to maximize the people and brand potential within their business – whether in a marketing or coaching capacity, and very often a blend of both.  

My coaching specialty is working with senior professionals and teams involved in leading themselves or others through significant change – whether it happens by choice or circumstance!

Walking has become an increasingly important element within my approach over the years and I find that, once clients experience this form of coaching, they are hooked.  As a keen walker and lover of the outdoors, I have explored many parts of the world on foot – both for pleasure and to raise money for charity. Nowadays I am also a volunteer walk leader for my local Walking for Health scheme which aims to encourage more people to become physically active in their communities.

I passionately believe in the power of getting outside in the natural environment and moving around.  It really helps us to get in touch with who we truly are – which is a great place to start any coaching journey – and almost always gives a big boost to our feelings of motivation and wellbeing.

As for qualifications, I hold an MA Honours and MSc Marketing from Glasgow and Strathclyde Universties respectively.  I am a certified by the highly respected Coaches Training Institute, and am also accredited by Human Synergistics Inc, to work with their full range of diagnostic instruments designed to assess individual, team, leadership and organisational culture profiles. Finally, I belong to the International Coach Federation (ICF) and abide by their published code of ethics.
